It just goes to show that if you enjoy numbers, study hard, and really work those summer-long engineering internships, a life in the arts can still sneak up and claim your immortal soul. Growing up in Austin, Texas, I lived a life of state-wide science fairs and Air Force satellite launches until I learned two things: First, scientists don't make very much money, it turns out; second, the one thing that makes me feel truly alive is performing. So I'm out here in LA still not making much money just so I can be the smart, motivated talent you need on your set or stage.
